Foe, Distin and Vuoso .... more speculation

Three in a week?

First up should be the much reported move for Sylvain Distin. As reported, Distin is likely to cost £4 million and is expected to sign after completing a medical. There is still interest from other sources though, namely Blackburn and Newcastle, so until Distin actually signs, take nothing for granted.

The second signing is expected to be Lyon midfielder, Marc-Vivien Foe. Foe has had experience of English football during a brief stay at West Ham and was once on the brink of signing for the rags. Foe has been a consistent performer for Lyon as they clinched the French title and is expected to command a fee in the range of £4 million.

Thirdly, and perhaps most surprising, is the speculation that KK is set to make a move for Argentinian striker, Matias Vicente Vuoso. Vuoso, who currently ply’s his trade for Independiente in Argentina, has recently attracted interest from Spanish side Valencia. Keegan’s network of scouts has recommended the highly rated forward who used to play alongside current rag, Diego Forlan. The fact that Forlan is playing in Manchester is likely to help swing a deal in Keegan’s favour. All blues will be hoping that his strike rate is better than that of his ex partners though, Forlan is yet to score for the rags.

Finally it would be wrong of me not to congratulate Ipswich and their supporters on their relegation. What goes around comes around, just who is the weakest link now?
