Reports today suggest that Lucien Mettomo will leave City for PSG as part of the deal to bring Nicolas Anelka to Maine Road. Mettomo will make up £3 million of the deal with City paying a further £9 million in cash.

As the Nicolas Anelka transfer deal moves closer to a conclusion, it has today been reported that Lucien Mettomo is to be part of any deal. The £12 million deal is said to involve Mettomo plus £9 million in cash.

Mettomo was a Kevin Keegan signing and impressed many people with his displays prior to Christmas. He lost his place in the side when he departed for the African Nations Cup in January and never regained it, making only a couple of substitute appearances.

Mettomo was notable by his absence from the championship celebrations, although Keegan denied a rift, claiming the player was absent on International duty.

With the recent signings of Distin, Bischoff and Loran it was speculated that Mettomo could well be on his way out. It would now seem to be the case.
