Niclas Jensen got a second half run out as Denmark beat Uruguay 2-1 whilst Richard Dunne and Lucien Mettomo stayed on the bench as Ireland and Cameroon played out a 1-1 draw.

Jensen gets a gameNeither Richard Dunne nor Lucien Mettomo managed to get a game as Ireland and Cameroon drew 1-1 in their World Cup group E game.Cameroon took a first half lead with a Patrick Mboma strike only for potential City target, Matt Holland, to equalise for the Irish in the second half. In Saturday’s second game Niclas Jensen came on as a second half substitute for Denmark. The Danes won the game 2-1, ex Newcastle man Jon Dahl Tomasson scoring twice. Keep an eye out for higher profile City appearances on Tuesday morning when Paulo Wanchope’s Costa Rica take on Sun Jihai’s China. |
