Motherwell fan Jamie McCallum writes this article on yesterday's shambles of a game against Livingston. A game most fans would like to forget !
Another poor performance from Motherwell left us creeping ever closer to the relegation spot. Motherwell started the brighter side with good runs down the wing from the debutant Khaled Kemas forcing Livi to concede some early corners with Motherwell coming close to scoring in the opening minutes from a Derek Adams header just goon wide of the post. Then unexpectedly came a wonder goal from Lee Makel from about 30 yards out beating Stevie Woods and putting Livi a goal up. Motherwell got back into the game just before the break. But at half time the score remained 1-0 livi.
Just after the restart Livingston scored another wonder goal this time coming from first half sub Sherif with a twenty yard strike once again beating a stranded stevie woods. It then got worse a few minutes later with Sherif again scoring this time an easy tap in from a Eugine Dadi cross. Then debutant Khaled Kemas had his own wonder strike easily beating livi goalkeeper Broto who had looked impressive up until then. But minute’s later livi scored again putting the match beyond doubt with David Bingham beating Stevie Woods. It just wasn’t Motherwell’s day. But just as well fans thought it couldn’t get anymore embarrassing livi got a 5th courtesy of David Xausa beating Woods. It was an afternoon of football Motherwell fans and players will want to forget with their worst home defeat of the season. We travel to pittodrie on Wednesday night where we will have to produce an amazing performance to beat a high flying Aberdeen team then it’s a trip to Firhill to face a struggling Partick side.
