Joe McKelvies view of Saturdays excellent win !
On Saturday around 3,500 fans travelled to Kilmarnock in the free buses provided the team were well presented by a huge well support. We started well with moves on the counter by Pearson and McFadden and David Clarkson playing well in the early stages. McFadden was getting in behind the defence and literally played his boots off with on falling off mid-move. The action really started when David Clarkson weaved in and out of a couple of Killie Defenders before being brought down by the last man so the referee didn't hesitate to point to the spot. :-P . James McFadden comfortably converted the spot kick. After half-time the events were few and far between although i missed about 5 minutes due to the high demand for Killie pies. Chris Innes was given an early bath due to a second bookable offence. Towards the end when McLaren was through on goal the 'well fans were silenced and he shot a dead cert goal only for Dubordeau to tipped it round the post. We know have Clyde in the 4th round and a new player to our squad in Steven Craig. The atmosphere was brilliant and if there is as great an atmosphere at the next games and such a great perfomance we can only hope for the best in our struggle to avoid the drop.
