Russell away on loan

Motherwell youngster Ian Russell has joined Dumbarton on loan till the end of the season.

The young striker who joined Motherwell this season from Rangers has failed to in his bid for first team football despite scoring regulary for the under - 21's, Ian scored a hat trick on his under - 21 debut against Hearts at Fir Park.


Russell was a substitute in Dumbarton's 2-1 away win over Stranraer at the weekend.


Ian should get the first team football he needs at the Strathclyde Homes stadium in order to get into the Motherwell side for the 2003 - 2004 season.
