Stranrear preview

Motherwell travel south to Stranraer this Saturday on Scottish Cup duty, a victory would take Terry Butcher's men to the semi finals for the first time since we won the cup in 1991.

From Ibrox to Stair Park

Motherwell will be hurting after Wednesday's 2 - 0 defeat at Ibrox and will be looking to bounce back with a win over the Second Division side. We had just over 200 fans at Ibrox but over 3,500 are travelling to the Stranraer as cup fever takes over. Motherwell administrator Bryan Jackson has hinted that if Motherwell reach the semi finals the money generated could keep top players such as McFadden and Pearson at Fir Park.

Motherwell team news

Captain Scott Leitch returns from injury and Stephen Pearson is eligible for this match but is ruled out for the next four league matches through suspension.

Stranraer team news

Derek Wingate is doubtful due to damaged ribs.

Pride of Lanarkshire prediction -

Motherwell have won all previous meetings between the sides and there's no reason why that shouldn't continue on Saturday. McFadden has scored every goal for Motherwell in this season's cup run so I'm going to stick my neck and say he'll get a double in a 3 - 0 win.
