Motherwell1 - 2 Dundee
By Joe McKelvie
April 13 2003
Motherwell's second half dominance did not pay off after missing a handful of chances. A good performance by the Fir Parkers with good play coming from the bottom of the league club. The Pride of Lanarkshire singles out Steven Craig for a good performance.

Motherwell's second half performance came to nothing after only being able to pull one back in a lively second half.
Dundee took the lead 2 minutes in Mark Burchill scoring his third in three games the former Celtic youngster is hitting form since joining on loan from Portsmouth.

Dundee were soon two up after a Steven Milne effort went by Francois Dubordeau.
The first half did not really bring good play from Motherwell.

The second half was a different matter indeed as Craig tested Speroni Early On. McFadden later tested him twice but he made some great saves. Offiong came on and showed promise but was ineffective off the ball. Motherwell scored after half a dozen shots had somehow managed to stay out of the Dundee net! McFadden placed the ball into the net from 3 yards out. Motherwell did dominate but just could not put the ball to the net with Offiong's chip the pick of the chances, the young English under - 20 forward chip was cleared from the line after Speroni was beat.
