Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate promised teenage winger Adam Johnson his time will come after watching him help to dismantle Watford.

The 19-year-old, the pretender to England international Stewart Downing's throne on the left, lined up on the right for Boro against the Hornets and played his part in a comprehensive victory which all but ended the Teessiders' fears of being dragged into a relegation battle.
Johnson provided the fifth-minute cross from which Downing headed down for Mark Viduka to open the scoring, and had a hand in two of the three goals which followed as Boro eased their way to a first victory in eight games.
Southgate has used the player who broke into the first team under predecessor Steve McClaren sparingly this season, but admits he has a special talent on his hands.
He said: "Young Adam Johnson was a shining light. It was great to be able to give him his head and he had a hand in the first three goals.
"I know we have got potentially a very special player there. But he is of very tender years, he is physically maturing and of course his more natural position is where we have got an England left-winger.
"It is difficult for him because he sees other youngsters coming through in the league and performing week in, week out.
"But we have got to blood him at the right speed and Saturday was a good game for him.
"We needed width, we needed to switch play a lot, and he has got the talent to go past people.
"He has got a different type of talent and he is the sort of player supporters will enjoy watching."
Three successive defeats had seen Boro's season peter out into a relatively meaningless fight for respectability.
However, the manner in which they disposed of a below-par Watford will have renewed Southgate's faith in his side.
Damien Francis cancelled out Viduka's opener with a 22nd-minute volley, but George Boateng's drive, which was unwittingly deflected past Ben Foster by Chris Riggott, restored Boro's advantage within three minutes before the home side assumed control.
Adrian Boothroyd's men rarely threatened to drag themselves back into the game for a second time, and Viduka's superb 75th-minute finish made sure of the points before Fabio Rochemback rounded things off with a fourth 11 minutes from time.
The win took Boro to 39 points, although left them in the 12th-place they have occupied for some time with Southgate adamant that they cannot yet relax.
He said: "I was talking to (West Ham boss) Alan Curbishley last week and he mentioned 37 points. I was not sure about that at the time and the way other results went, I am even less sure about it.
"We might have enough now, but I think that is unlikely. But whether we have or we have not, we are a point off the top half and we have got a game here against Villa here next Saturday that we want to win.
"Historically over the las few years, we have been a team which gets a good result and a good performance and then we switch off.
"We are in on Monday morning. It might be a Bank Holiday, but not for us because I want us back in focussed on next Saturday and following up what was a good day's work with another good day next Saturday."
Southgate's delight at a much-improved display on the 2-0 defeat at West Ham seven days earlier was enhanced by the fact it was achieved without suspended trio Emanuel Pogatetz, Lee Cattermole and James Morrison, while England defender Jonathan Woodgate once again missed out through injury.
The on-loan Real Madrid star was sidelined by a hamstring strain, although his manager is hopeful he will be fit again by the time Villa arrive on Teesside despite Chris Riggott and £6million signing Robert Huth performing admirably in his absence.
Southgate said: "He just slightly tweaked his hamstring at the beginning of the week. It is nothing too serious, but we thought it was the right thing to do to rest him.
"Chris and Rob, who have both been patiently awaiting their chance, were excellent."
