Freedom Bear's Boro v Arsenal Prediction
By Freedom Bear
September 9 2005
Well after a two week break, The Bear is back to provide more insightful predictions for the uneducated smogs. Surprisingly enough, whilst The Bear was away he managed to successfully predict all the previous three league scores....
....therefore increasing his
prediction success rate and enhancing his growing reputation as a hero
amongst men and a national icon. What a bear.
The Bear notices that McClaren weaved his transfer magic again,
bringing in a collection of fast, skilful, creative, wide players to
help push the smogs forward. Or not.
In fact, The Bear states that all
McClaren has managed to do is replace Zenden with an unproven premiership player
in Rochemback, and Reiziger with an equally ageing Xavier! Progress? The
Bear doesn't think so.
So it's Arsenal on Saturday, and The Bear cannot help but feel slightly
concerned. The smogs have shown they are one dimensional with Downing
as the only attacking outlet and with him now injured, things don't look good.
In
fact, things are going to go from bad to worse. Preparation for the
game
must also have suffered, with McClaren concentrating on the embarassing
England for most part of the week. Oh dear.
The Bear cannot see the smogs scoring against Chesterfield, let alone
Arsenal, and with the smogs looking equally inept defensively this has
got heavy defeat written all over it.
However, The Bear is banking on
Arsenal missing a whole host of glorious chances and so the resulting score
will be a 2-0 home defeat.
The main area of concern though will be the lack of
heart, battle, creativity, and width - as per usual. The Bear knows
this will be a painful season for the smogs, and things won't get better for
a while.
Lower mid table has already claimed the smogs this season, and
with
it will come time for the management to be replaced.
Incidentally, The Bear hopes he wasn't the only one to notice the
amazing similarities between England's useless performance against Northern Ireland and the
smogs
week in week out useless performances! Something has to give.
As per usual, back The Bear and make defeat a financially successful
day. A
97.64% prediction success rate is not to be laughed at.
