Boro V Wigan Tale Of The Tape

Jones v Pollitt
Pollitt spent two years in the north east at Sunderland. He ended up at Wigan after spells at Rotherham and Chesterfield (what a glamorous life the life of a footballer is!). Jones is also a stranger to being in the limelight: due to a succession of howlers, he's "Adam Ant" to prove his worth to the Boro faithful. A close call, but Jones to "stand and deliver" in the fifth.
Jones 7pts Pollitt 6pts.
Parnaby v Chimbonda
The Chin scored a "real" Boro goal in midweek. Pascal, was also banging them in earlier in the season, the former Bastian has become a favourite with the "New" Wigan faithful. An even bout expected - no shocks, pretty boring really.
Parnaby 7pts v Chimbonda 8pts
Riggot v De Zeeuw
Rumour is rife at the club that Andrew Davies (who’s renting Riggott's house outside Derby) has sold Chris's beloved Lionel Ritchie collection on Ebay. Riggot is not amused by all accounts, he's well miffed off to say the least. Watch him knockout his own version of "Hello" and leave Arjan waving goodbye as he leaves the field on a stretcher. Riggot to win in two.
Riggott 8pts De Zeeuw 6pts
Bates v Henchoz
Stephane (pronounced 'stef- fannee') is a big girls blouse with no pace. Bates is not, watch him show who’s the Master...
Bates 7pts Henchoz 6pts
Pogatetz v Baines
Pogatetz will inflict some pain on Baines. The tiny 5" 7' dwarf, nicknamed Pippin at his club, will find out what a bad apple Pogatetz really is. Pogatetz to win with a "Merry" in the eighth
Pogatetz 7pts Baines 6pts
Mendi v Bullard
The running man Bullard is rumoured to be a Boro target. He will show his possible employers how to make the most of your abilities. Mendi on the other hand will show how to make the most of your disabilities. Bullard to win within the first 100 metres.
Mendi 5pts Bullard 7pts
Parlour v Kavanagh
Parlour is back in action, and boy do we need his experience, I hear you all saying. Against Kav, (a player whom I always rated) it will be a tough affair, as Parlour struggles back to fitness. Can't see our boy winning this one, can you?
Parlour 6 pts Kav 7pts
Cattermole v Scharner
For those who don't know, Scharner and Pogatetz are both Austrian. Pogatetz has invited Paul round to his after the match for a bite to eat. So if Cattermole doesn't lay Paul out, our resident nutter will have his dessert…
Cattermole 7 pts Scharner 7 pts
Johnson v Thompson
Debut boy will be looking to put on a good show for his new employers, whereas Johnson, will be looking to take his good form from his last outing into this game. A tough battle ahead for both players, hard graft will be the order of the day. Honours even.
Johnson 7 pts Thompson 7pts
Viduka v McCulluch
Now that Dukes best mate at the club has withdrawn his transfer request, Viduka (we hope) might fancy this one. And against 4-goal McCulluch, the 6" 1' former Motherwell player, he certainly has the chance to shine. Viduka to win with a volley in the tenth.
Viduka 8pts McCulluch 7pts
Yakubu v Roberts
Watch the two big black men go head to head. Ladies bring a spare set of knickers as it's the battle of the weapons. The question on all the girls’ lips is: who'll rise to the occasion first...
Yak 9pts Roberts 8pts
