Preston North End draw 1-1 with Leicester as Paul Mckenna scores a fantastic 25yard free kick to earn Preston North End a share of the points.....

This game had a draw written all over it, with Preston having such a good home record and Leicester having an equally impressive away record, and so it proved.

Preston started the match the brightest and were well on top for the first 20mins, but it was Leicester who against the run of play took the lead. Preston failed to deal with a Leicester cross as Alexanders clearing header only went as far as Connolly (25) who vollyed superbly past Lonergan.

The second half started pretty much the same with Preston having the lions share of possesion and creating several half chances.

Prestons equaliser came courtesy of a free kick, after much deliberation Mckenna (64) curled a superb 25yard free kick into the same corner as connolly had earlier.

Both teams then had chances to win the game, with Preston having a great chance in the 90min but Oliveira's header was easily saved.

Preston will be pleased with a point that maintains their unbeaten run, but will feel with better finishing could of claimed all 3 points.
