Preston travel to Nottingham Forest in search of extending their ten game unbeaten run against a side who have only won once this year in the league which came on New Years Day against their bitter rivals Stoke.
After a well publisised 1-1 draw with Tottenham in the FA Cup, will that be Forests confidence boost to lift them out of the deep hole they have dug in the relegation zone.
Obvious absences for the trip to the midlands are Eric Skora, keepers Andy Lonergan (knee ligaments) and Gavin Ward (eye), so new loan signing Chris Day will probably get the nod for the start over youngster Chris Neal. Eddie Lewis is also back from suspension, other than that it looks as if Davies has no other selection worries.
As for Forest it looks likely their new signing David Friio will make his debut after his move from fellow championship side Plymouth last week, keeper Paul Gerrard is also back from suspension after missing out on their weekends FA Cup clash.
Last time Preston faced Forest we took a 3-0 lead with goals from Mckenna, Lucketti and Etuhu before Marlon King pulled two late goals back for Forest to send the game to an anxious finish. Prestons last visit to the City Ground saw Pawel Abbott grab the only goal of the game and all three points for Preston.
In terms of players to look out for certainley a lively David Nugent who has scored in both his apperances for Preston, so lets hope he starts again. New Forest Signing David Friio we also be looking to make his mark for his new club, so it might not be such a quiet night for Lucketti and Co.
