Influencial striker David Nugent lands the Powerade Player of the Month, as his vital goals help Northends push for the Playoffs

After signing for Northend David Nugent had to work to gain a first team start after being kept at bay by then first choice strikers Patrick Agyemang and Richard Cresswell.

But after making an impact featuring as a sub and helping turn the game around away to QPR Nugent was given the nod against table toppers Ipswich, were he made an immediate impact and grabbed his second goal in Northend colours. Since then Billy Davies hasn't looked back and even a case of the mumps couldn't keep Nugent out of the starting line up.

With crucial goals against Watford and West Ham he has helped Northends push for the playoffs, and has rightly so landed March's Powerade Player of the Month for the Championship.
