This years PFA Championship team of the year has been announced, and Preston are represented once again this year, with Scottish International Graham Alexander being named in the team.

It is the third time in six seasons that Alexander has been named in the PFA's team of the year.

On his inclusion Alexander said:

"It was a total surprise, you don't expect to get in there any year and I'm extremely proud to get in there because it is very nice to know that you are respected by your fellow pros."

"It is a big boost to me and I was quite surprised that a few of the other lads didn't get in there. If I got in then I thought at least four or five other players would get in as well, but I'm sure their time will come."
