After scoring his goal against Ipswich David Nugent showed his confidence and said he would be playing for England in the next World Cup, and it looks as though he's taken his first step.

For David Nugent this season has been something of fairytale. From starting the season on the bench at Bury he's now preparing for the Championship Play Offs and to cap it all he's received his first international call up.

The 20-year-old has been named in the U20 squad for the forthcoming Toulon Tournament, just rewards for his excellent form since signing for North End in January, but he may have to wait for his England chance:

"I went in to training the other day and I had a letter from the FA inviting me to the Toulon Tournament, I'm really pleased and it came as a bit of a surprise.

"It's my first call up and there's a chance that I might not get to go, it all depends if we get to the play offs final or not. But if i don't go it's because we're playing at Cardiff for the chance of getting to the Premiership and that's far more important."
