Promotion Prediction

The Nationwide League Division One might have played one game so far, but there is still another 130 points to be claimed by the 24 teams, sadly 3 teams must be relegated with 3 gaining promotion but who will it be, bladesfc.co.uk give our prediction for the 2002-03 season.

Automatic Contenders: Derby County, Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Millwall, Portsmouth, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Play-Off Hopefuls: Burnley, Coventry City, Norwich City, Nottingham Forest, Preston North End, Watford.

Mid Table Safety: Crystal Palace, Gillingham, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke City, Wimbledon.

Relegation Candidates: Bradford City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Grimsby Town, Reading, Rotherham United, Walsall.

With 6 teams gunning for the automatic spot I believe that Derby and Wolves will both be promoted with Ipswich Town going through play-offs like they did during their last promotion. However no team likes to be relegated but I think it is going to be Grimsby and Walsall's turn for the drop after missing out last season with with Bradford following them.
