The Mariners are well and truly in trouble as they lie rooted at the bottom of the table with 2 points from 7 games, a win could take them out of relegation zone.

As for Sheffield United, well we are now finally beginning to be a team that opponents might fear. The mighty Blades are now 4th in the division One table, a win depending on how Norwich City do away to Reading, could take United to 3rd.

With United being 4th I wondered when was the last time United were 4th in Division One, the answer is 1997-98 season when on 22 February United lost 2-0 to Birmingham City (at St Andrews) but still was left in 4th position. And the last time we went 3rd was during same season we beat Charlton Athletic 4-1 at Bramall Lane on 28 December.

On the injury front for United we know that Laurens Ten Heuvel, Wayne Allison and Paul Peschisolido are now fighting fit and should be available for Tuesday night.

However sadly it has been revealed that Iffy Onoura has ruptured his Achilles Tendon which could take up to a year to recover. bladesfc.co.uk wish Iffy all the best and that he gets well soon.

Last Saturday Grimsby traveled to Highfield Road, but despite taking the lead, the Mariners lost 3-2 to Coventry City.

As far as bladesfc.co.uk know, Grimsby Town  do not have any injury problems that Paul Groves has to worry about.

Sheffield United come into the game after beating off rivals Rotherham United 1-0 in the Yorkshire Derby, Peter Ndlovu got the goal after been on pitch for three minutes.

If United play the team like they did on Saturday v Rotherham then this will be the squad:

In last seasons game at Bramall Lane v Town, United won 3-1 with two goals from Patrick Suffo (14 & 27) and one from Michael Brown (62), Menno Williams (87) scored a consolation with three minutes to go.

Prediction: Grimsby Town are struggling at the bottom of the league and will no doubt want tow in it. I think Town will come to defend even if it is to try and get a point but United are strong when attacking especially when Tonge goes on his mazy runs. I think United will beat Town 2-0.
