Blades Target Keeper

Neil Warnock is thought to be interested in signing Brentford's rookie keeper Paul Smith as he searches for a replacement for Simon Tracey.

Bees keeper Smith had hugely impressive stint between the sticks last season making 18 league starts. The Blades are looking to replace 34-year-old Tracey, who has made more than 300 appearances for the South Yorkshire side.

Brentford supremo Ron Noades has expressed the need to sell players to clear club debts after their play-off final failure, and Smith's signature would certainly command a decent fee.

Brentford's other goalkeeper, Ole Gottskalksson, was placed on the transfer list in January but has not attracted any interest from other clubs as yet.
