Warnock Needs A Goalkeeper!!!

Neil Warnock could be ready to step up his search for a new keeper, with Simon Tracey set to miss the start of next term with a hernia problem.

Doubts over Tracey's fitness have brought to the surface fears over The Blades' goalkeeping cover, with Wilko de Vogt the only other experienced stopper on the books.

The prospect of beginning the new campaign without a reserve keeper on the bench will almost certainly lead to Warnock acting in the transfer market, although the current financial situation at Bramall Lane could restrict the boss to making a loan signing.

Meanwhile, Tracey's testimonial match is set to take place after the start of the new season.
The 34-year-old had pencilled in August 3 as a tentative date for the benefit fixture, but United have now arranged a pre-season friendly against Irish side Linfield on that date.
