Football Fixtures Out Soon

On 13th June Football League will announce the FA Premier League and Nationwide League Football Fixtures.

It has been rumored that Sheffield United will play Rotherham United at home on very first day of the new 2002/03 season on 10 August.

Last season The Blades opened up the new season with an away trip to Nottingham Forest's City Ground where they earned a 1-1 draw with Paul Devlin scoring a very late equaliser.

As United played away on first and last day of the 2001/02 season I feel that it is only fair that United have to play at home on first and last day of the season.

Next season Unitedites will look forward to local derbies against Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham United & Bradford City while Barnsley will play in Division 2 next season after being relegated.
