Jamie Lawrence has rejected the chance to follow Stuart McCall to United and has rejoined his Bradford City team-mates in training.

Lawrence today returned to Bradford and rejoined the players in training at Golden Acres in Adel.

The Jamaica midfielder was originally one of just two players who refused to return to pre-season training after being axed by The Bantams last month.

Lawrence - who was initially upset at not being paid by the club since April - has revealed that he has turned down the chance to link up again with McCall at Bramall Lane.

Lawrence said: "As long as I'm getting paid then I'm happy to go back to Bradford. I'm looking forward to seeing the boys again after everything that's gone on.

"Sheffield United got in touch with me but I might as well stick at Bradford for the last year of my contract.

"I'm sort of relieved to be going back but also a little bit angry. It's been a joke not getting paid for a couple of months."
