Coventry match-winner Barry Davies hopes to play for one more season and is in discussions with the club about doing that at Butts Park.
The 32-year-old, who kicked a 58-metre last-minute penalty to lift Cov to a 20-17 win over Richmond last weekend, admits he is nearing the end of his illustrious career.
But he says he would like to play for one final season and revealed he is in talks with Scott Morgan and Phil Maynard about remaining with the Blue and Whites.
“With the way my body feels these days I would like one more season but I will definitely retire after that,” Davies said.
“We are talking and it depends on what they want to do. We are looking to strengthen in a few key areas so we’ll just see how it goes.”
