Interesting to see the redfining of the caoching roles.. So no forwards and backs coaches anymore.. Instead we have a contact and set piece coach, and a defence coach. but they are the same 4 guys we all know and love.. ;-) So it will be interesting to hear how the redifinition of roles within the same set of coaches, will actually manifest itself.
I know there are some loanies on the horizon, but i would say we also need the following
a) another hooker.
b) another back row.
c) 1 more quick utility back.. We seem to have a few 'bash em's currently. Although if barry and luke stay fit we will be fine, but the chances of that happening based on previous seasons is unlikely. Although i hope im wrong.
It's good to see some stabilty with 24 retained and 9 new signings. In previous seasons there has been an element of starting off from scratch again. Hopefully the coaches will be able to consolidate on last season and the players will learn to work from the script.
Agreed with the stability, it certainly gives us a head start over other seasons where it's taken a good while to settle on a starting line up. You would like to think that for the backs at least, the starting line up will have played together last season, with the exception of 1 wing, but all they do is catch the ball and run, right?! ;-)
Incorrect Nige. They have to see that their fellow back is not wearing the same dress, redo their makeup, especially the lipstick, straighten their hair, put on their perfume, and then they can think abo ut running in their high heels...

After they've combed their hair and made sure their eyeliner is straight.
A little bird tells me that Coventry have ordered 7 pairs of boots for the backs in readiness for the new season..........should give a good foot-hold in the wet weather come winter I reckon:
Kimbo And you don't mean Mika, do you?
No idea how many Juddy and McLean scored. Do you?
No mate and I do mean Phil Judd and Mike McLean. Neither probably scored many tries. In those days it wasn't in their job description. They were only expected to grunt, push and forage. I asked originally in the hope that JB could answer how many tries they scored. With due respect to Lee Johnson he can't compare with Phil and Mike.
Scott Morgan in the ezine has clarified that Lima Munro was to be the other No 8 challenging Jacques Le Roux-obviously this will be have to re-thought following Liam's injury.
Heck thats an unlucky start to the preseason, it will be challenging to find a decent 2nd choice no8 at this stage of the game!? although i suspect Sam would be able to play there, but will leave us a bit thin on back row cover..
Was also wondering who the loanees will be this season, as i dont think there has been an agreement with any club/players announced as yet has there?
