Cov roar to 43-5 at the break after playing what Morgan called ‘the best rugby I’ve seen in this league’
Head coach Scott Morgan described Coventry’s first-half performance as ‘the best rugby I’ve seen in this league’ on their way to a 53-26 win over Wharfedale at the Butts Park Arena.
But after leading 43-5 at the break, he also conceded that what happened in the second 40 minutes left room for improvement if Cov are to mount a realistic National League One challenge.
“It’s a rollercoaster at the minute,” said Morgan. “The first half was the best rugby I’ve seen in this league, let alone since I’ve been at Coventry – it was fantastic.
“But it was a tale of two halves, I guess, and leaves us perhaps looking at what might have been. I’m delighted with how we went in the first half – we did everything that we’ve discussed, nothing flashy, just executed what we planned to do.

If he did go behind the posts to speak to the team after conceding a try good on him - it's what I do on a Sunday morning when our team concede a try. Perhaps their coach should have gone behind the posts a bit.
