Tight-head prop suffered a calf injury in Cov’s opening game of the season against Rosslyn Park.

Chad Thorne is lined up for a return from injury in the Coventry Development side to play Oxford University at Broadstreet tonight (7.30pm).

The tight-head prop suffered a calf injury in Cov’s opening game of the season against Rosslyn Park, but returned to full training last week and is expected to have a run out against the students to assess his chances form before Saturday’s National League One game at Cinderford.

Loose head Andy Brown is also in the running to play as he continues his return from a pre-season injury along with backs James Otutaha and Luke Myring.

Meanwhile, South African No.8 Jacques Le Roux, who has also been out since the opening day of the season, has been left frustrated by the length of time it has taken for an Achilles problem to improve, but has pencilled in next weekend’s game against Richmond for a possible return.
