Coventry Rugby team announced to face Richmond at home.

The Coventry Rugby side to face Richmond at home at the Butts Park Arena this coming Saturday 18th October 2014, with kick off at 3.00 pm, has just been announced.
It shows just 2 changes and one positional change from the squad that won at Cinderford last Saturday. Luke Joseph returning after injury goes to No 6 in place of Sam Pailor who is at No 8 in place of the injured Ed Milne. On the replacements Rikki Stout comes in for James Fish. The backs remain the same.

Can't believe ed Milne injured after 1 game. We have had some bad luck in the lock/back row area!
My worry really is whether the forwards are strong enough to compete in the top 5 of the league. Luke Joseph could do with pulling a good performance out the bag..
Either way, the backs look good, so lets hope for a dry day, and for spinning it out wide and using our strengths and speed on the wings.

I was down at training last night, and the thing that was looking slightly more hopeful, reinforced by Tom being able to release the team lust at about the time that training started, was that while the injured list isn't shrinking significantly, at least it has the feeling of being under control, and they have auch better feel for who is fit, who needs game time, and who is out for a while linger, than they had a few weeks ago.
There seems to be a fairly firm cycle of recover - Broad Street - Coventry being established with more Coventry players in that pipeline on their way back to competing for their Coventry place.

I believe Luke Joseph favours the flank, also Sam Pailor does at No 8.
I agree though back row this season, notably no 8 position has been incredibly unlucky with injuries; couldn't believe my eyes when Ed Milne limped off last week.
Open side fortunes not a great deal better, that said Gareth Turner has done really admirably in my view in the absence of George & Brett

You may be right about Broadstreet being a useful venue for the recovery of our players, Nick, but for how long will that be the situation? Wuss appear to be working with, or certainly at, BS with an academy, so have Cov missed out?

I recently became aware of that for the first time. Seems to have slipped under the radar (or maybe that was just me) but I don't mean anything negative in that.
Just surprised it suddenly came to my attention.

Forgive me for appearing to be a bit pedantic, but can someone shed more light on this situation please?
What does it mean that "current academy contracts with RFU expire in a year or two" (Old Nick) or that academy boundaries "could well be re-drawn in the not too distant future" (Statler).
Does Wasps intention to not have training and academy facilities in Cov (according to their publicity) have a bearing?

Not sure about the academy's but BS can't get a colts team. So cov not exactly planning for the future there?
