Coventry RFC aim to return to winning ways at the Butts Park Arena tomorrow when they entertain National League One stragglers Macclesfield.
Cov’s 16-game winning run ground to a halt at Richmond last week when they were ultimately happy to escape with a 28-28 draw. But although tomorrow’s visitors have been cast adrift at the bottom of the table, Cov know that they have to step up from that performance and can take nothing for granted if they are to maintain a realistic title challenge.
“If we are going to win trophies we will have to go on long winning runs and break club records, but there are going to be blips along the way and how we deal with these will define us and how we go forward,” said rugby director Phil Maynard.
