Coventry RFC back row trio sign new contracts...

...for next season.

Three of Coventry’s pool of back row players have signed new contracts to remain at the Butts Park Arena next season.

George Oliver, Danny Wright and Loti Molitika will all be on board as the club continues to build towards a National League One promotion challenge.

Both Oliver and Wright will be hoping for a trouble-free run after playing a restricted role last season due to injury, while Molitika impressed in five appearances after joining Cov from Chinnor for the closing weeks of the season only to be injured in the final game at Rosslyn Park.

Open side Oliver, who came to Cov in the second half of the 2013-14 season, had a stop-start campaign which saw him suffer a knee injury, two concussions and then, after fighting his way back into the side, a leg injury in the penultimate game at home to Blackheath.

“Hopefully I have got them all out of the way and I can stay injury-free next season,” said the Hinckley 22-year-old, who came to Cov from Leicester Academy.

“I had quite a serious knee injury when I was at Leicester which kept me out for 13 months and my first game back from that was my first game for Coventry, but I’ve never had a run of little ones like I’ve just had.

“It should be a really good year, hopefully I can get in a good pre-season and I can’t wait to start playing again and go for a promotion push.

“My leg is all good now, I picked up a little dent on the lower right side but a couple of weeks rest has cleared it up.

“Everyone who put on the No.7 shirt over the season ended up getting a knock, but I think that goes with the position.”
