Great to see that this has now been confirmed as being discussed by the council, and given the way that the council operates, this should mean that a positive decision has effectively already been made.
The length of lease (when compared with the nearly 150 years the club has been in existence,) seems long, but I understand that a long lease is key to getting developers to commit to the up front costs of the developments, something the club could not get near to funding from its own resources.
Let's hope that this goes through without hiccups, and that the developers can start on the formal planning process with the council to follow up on the environmental impact assessment that the club and the council have already carried out.

This seems very positive as the club has been looking at this for several years now and already invested money by planning for the future development.
I believe the original plans had to be revised when Covid came along due to some potential investors dropping out. It is good to see the revised plans being progressed and Coventry Rugby are looking to increase its revenue streams and secure its future while still being a community focused club.

Important to use an asset to produce maximum income for the club.
