Fitz Joins the Reggae Boys

Following Martin O'Connor's injury problems, it was a case of "good news, bad news" today, as Fitzroy Simpson is called up by Jamaica. We will be short on Saturday if Mart isn't fit, as Pedro is also out again!
Fitzroy has got the call to play for his country in a tounament back in Jamaica and will definately be out for the trip to Leicester on Saturday. The club are hoping he will return for the Wimbledon game.
It's a qualifying group game in a new format competition and, should they qualify and he be called up for the Finals, he will also be missing next April.
While a great honour for the busy little midfielder, it does leave us short of midfield resources. With O'Connor's injury, I would have expected it to mean a recall for Matias, with Wrack moving inside. However, Pedro has now picked up a groin injury and may be out for two weeks, so Martinez is almost certain to play.
The other possibility, of course, is that Lee will be looking for a loan signing over the next couple of days, so watch this space!
