Simpson a Saddler Again!

The freeing up of the budget at Bescot has led to one result we all wanted - a contract for Jamaican International Fitzroy Simpson.

The club have announced that he was offered a contract until the end of the season, following the release of Matt Gadsby and that the popular little midfielder has signed this afternoon.

This has to be good news, as his partnership with Martin O'Connor has been one of the highlights of this season so far.
He will also give another option as cover for the injured Zigor Aranalde, even though the Basque left back is making a quicker than expected recovery from his rib injury.

Colin Lee also revealed that he had negotiated a deal for a left back this morning, only for it to fall through. He said that the deal had been done, only for the player to ring him back "20 minutes later" to say he had changed his mind.
He went on to say that he still intends to try to sign a left back as cover for Aranalde.
