The December Player of the Month

Reading some of the comments after the Sheffield Utd and Ipswich games, it almost feels like intruding at a wake, but it's time for the December Player of the Month Award.

It's been a terrible return points wise in December, with very few players showing a measure of consistency for the whole period.

Junior started the month well, but has struggled recently (notably in the Blades game), Leitao has always looked willing and eager, but hasn't had the goals return.

The midfield has been inconsistent on the whole, although Sonner came close for two or three excellent performances, but there have also been some bad ones from him as well.

Without stating the obvious, the defence has leaked too many goals.

All in all, for me, there are only two candidates this month, in terms of consistency.

In second place is the best defender we have at the moment, Darren Bazeley.

My choice for the Player of the Month, however, is the most improved player we've had this season, the man who has gone from zero to hero, Darren Wrack.
