TheSaddlersFC has picked up reports that the club have been having discussions about relay the Bescot Pitch.
Although their is no official confirmation , we have been informed that the club have been in contact with a Leeds based organisation who could relay the pitch for £120,000.
This could provide a welcome boost for the Saddlers who's playing surface has caused them no end of the problems in the past few weeks.
Where has the finance come from? maybe the prospect of a "cup run", maybe the board fear that the pitch could cost us a lot more if we were to go down, or was it the release of Rodrigues and Herivelto last week. Either way owner Jeff Bonser could come out of this with praise from the fans if the pitch gets re-laid.
If this comes off it will be another signal showing fans they are commited to Division 1 football.
