Colin Lee is sweating over Danny Hay's selection for the Kiwi squad to face Iran at the end of the month. If selected Hay will miss the Sky Blues and Pompey games.

Colin Lee fears New Zealand will request that Walsall center half Danny Hay join their squad for the two games they with Iran.

The two games he may requested to participate in clash with the home games against Portsmouth and Coventry on the 5th of April and 29th of March.

Colin Lee and the majority of Saddlers fans hope that between then and now we can accumulate enough points to pull clear of the relegation fight, but the likelihood of that slim, meaning that the Portsmouth and Coventry games are going to be crucial.

Hay has spent most of the season partnering Ian Roper at the heart of the Walsall defence, as the imposing duo have informed an impressive partnership.

Hay has impressed staff and fans alike since joining from Leeds United in the summer and if he does leave to play in Iran then he will be sorely missed by the Saddlers.
