Police take action over Pompey game

The West Midlands Police have requested that next months home game against League leaders Portsmouth be designated all ticket.

The West Midlands Police have told Walsall Football Club that their clash with First Division League Leaders Portsmouth on the 5th April should be made all ticket. The game is already live on Sky, and has a 5:3pm kick off. The club will see this as a serious blow because televised games already attract traditionally low gates, and with many fans turning up on the spur of the moment, the big crowd the club had hoped for may not materialise.
