It appears that Chris Shuker's unsuccessful loan spell with Walsall has come to an end with the youngster today going back to Manchester City.

Chris Shuker's loan spell has ended and the Manchester City youngster has returned to Main Road with his long term future now looking very uncertain.

Shuker rejected Man City's offer a new contract earlier this month, in hope that he would have enough time to impress Colin Lee and other watching managers to show that he could do a job in the first division.

He won the TSFC fans man of the match award for his exhilarating debut performance against Bradford, but his consequent starts against Rotherham and Milwall were not as impressive and he has been forced to warm the bench since then.

What is Shuker's long term future? Who knows, maybe Lee will take the youngster in and offer him another chance during the Summer when he is a free agent.
