Walsall Season Tickets Slashed!

Jeff Bonser said last season that he wanted to make Bescot the cheapest place to watch 1st Division football, and he has been as good as his word, as well as abandoning the unpopular "Category A" scheme.

Walsall FC today announced major season-ticket and match ticket price reductions for the 2003/2004 campaign, just as Jeff Bonser had promised.
He said on the official site that, "as a result of building the Purple Stand we now have increased capacity. We want to fill as many seats as possible as often as possible. The prices we are announcing today will enable the many local people who have not been able to afford to attend matches, to come along on a regular basis.
This is an Article of Faith in the willingness of the people of Walsall and local area to respond in large numbers to the great offer we are making to them - First Division football at affordable prices and the opportunity to make Walsall a force to be reckoned with at this level.
This offer will only be successful if we can lift our average attendance to 8,000+. If that does not happen, and supporters need to understand this, we shall be left with lower income and all the problems that will bring. I do not believe this will happen. I would appreciate a good response from our supporters".
