Player of the Month?

What's this, I hear you say, has Ravenscroft resurrected the Player of the Month award? No, it's more a way of paying tribute to one man.

With only one game to go, I thought it was time for Walsall fans to say a big thank you to one of, if not the most influential player this season.

Early on, one of our major topics of conversation was always that the midfield always looked weak and disjointed in the absence of Martin O'Connor. Well , it hasn't lately.

The run we have had of six games unbeaten, with the four clean sheets, has a lot to do with the presence of one player.

I, for one, would like to say a big thank you to that well known Spanish bar chain owner, Vinny Samways. Thank you, Vinny, sheer class!
