Despite Colin Lee publicly stating
that Darren Wrack had agreed to return to the Bescot Stadium next season,
the talk of a move back to his native Humberside continues
Earlier this week BBC Ceefax
reported that both Hull and Grimsby had shown an interest in the player,
but that personal terms could well prove to be the stumbling block to any
potential move.
Message board regular Hull Saddler
today confirmed that the Hull Daily mail had reported that the Tigers are
still the favourites to secure the 27 year olds signature.
The Full story from the Hull Daily
Mail can be found here.
Taylor says he has secured a gentlemen's
agreements with 4 players, who he will make a move for when their
contracts expire at the end of June.
So will Darren Wrack stay true to
his word and sign a new contract at Walsall, or is he one of the 4 players
who Taylor has reached gentlemen's agreements with?
It is strange that both the
Humberside clubs have been linked with the player, but their are serious
doubts as to whether they could both meet his wage demands. This situation
is far from clear, and until Darren Wrack signs on the dotted line at
Walsall this speculation is sure to continue.
