There were several rumours towards the end of the season that Colin Lee tried to bring in Bob Taylor. It now turns out to be true.
Colin Lee, in an interview in the Evening Mail, says that he did try to bring veteran Albion striker in on loan last season, but says that he is unlikely to make a move for the out of contract Albion legend.
He says that he would have been prepared to take the player on a short term basis, but, while not ruling out a move totally, Colin said that he would prefer to look at younger players he can give two year contracts to, in order to lend more stability.
In the meantime, he says he is also more optimistic about the possibility of Junior resigning and was expecting to hear from his agent shortly.
Gavin Ward has, according to the paper, also turned down a new contract offer, so we will be looking for a reserve keeper again.
