Robinson still at Pompey

Despite reports yesterday that Carl Robinson had been given a free transfer by Harry Redknapp, Robinson is staying at Fratton Park for the foreseeble future.

Any distant hopes Colin Lee may have had of tempting Robinson back to Bescot have now been dashed. With Robinson thought to be on a big wage at Portsmouth, any possible move was always likely to be out of the question

It is thought that Redknapp will allow Robinson to leave for a fee, thus ruling out a move to Walsall. Redknapp said: "Carl is still with us and he's still under contract. He is part of things here but he's been told I won't stand in his way if he wants to go."
