Lee rules out Ainsworth swoop

Colin Lee has today ruled out a move for Gareth Ainsworth following the winger’s release by Cardiff – but admitted he would still like to sign the former Bescot loanee.

Lee admitted his surprise at Ainsworth’s release – especially after Cardiff’s play off final victory over Queens Park Rangers – but stated that:

"It's not really something we'll pursue straight away because we've already gone down routes with other players.”

He also stated that the club’s finances would not stretch to enable him to move for another player but admitted that if any proposed deals fell through, "Gareth would be a really useful player for us."
