Is Zigor good enough to wear the no.3 shirt?

The Zigor debate...

 

 

Zigor has been the first choice left back for Walsall for the past 3 years. He has provided us with some hair raising moments with his defensive calamities, but other times he has been our main attacking threat and provided passion and energy on the pitch.

The main criticism Zigor has come in for is his lack of defensive ability. He backs off the opposing team too much, is light in the challenge and often poor in the aerial challenge. There have been times when he has pulled off great last ditch saving tackles, but his mistakes have cost us dear at times and the fans have not forgot this.

The Walsall fans who support Zigor always comment on his tremendous work rate, energy, enthusiasm and attacking flair. There is no doubt that Zigor gives 100% when he is on the pitch and his runs down the left wing gives the team an extra dimension. His partnership with Pedro Matias was a big reason why Walsall got promoted from division 2.
