Then There Were Ten - Carbon Signs

Matt Carbon made it ten first team players on a contract today, by signing for another year. The announcement has been made on the official site.

The Walsall squad for next season took a little more shape this morning as Matt Carbon signed another year's contract.

The big former Derby and Albion defender has had his critics at Bescot, mainly due to his injury record, but, when he has played, he has looked every inch a First Division defender.

Many Albion fans criticised him in the past for making silly mistakes, but he has certainly never let Walsall down on the pitch and this will, in general, be a popular signing.

More should be expected this week, as we find out who have and have not been offered contracts.
