Walsall have snapped up 20 year old Aaron Kerr from Havant and Waterlooville on a free transfer. Kerr is a former Northern Ireleand Youth International and will provide backup to Jimmy Walker next season.
Kerr said: "I know most of the players well already having trained with the club last year so it won't take me long to settle in," he told the club's official website.
Saddlers manager Colin Lee added: "He trained with us on numerous occasions last year so we know a bit of what he's about and likewise, he knows the standards we set here.
"I'm confident he can provide good back-up for James Walker."
Kerr was regarded as the best keeper in the Dr Martens Premier Division last season and was being tracked by Hednesford Town. The Lichfield based youngster will have great mentors in Mick Kearns and Jimmy Walker, but will the step up be too much for him?
