Carling Cup 1st Round - Carlisle at Home

The Saddlers have received a home draw against Carlisle United in the first round of the newly named Carling Cup (formerly the Workthington Cup).

Although not a very mouth-watering prospect, a match against one of the third division's strugglers should at least give the saddlers an excellent chance of progressing through to the second round and hopefully a money-spinning match against premier league opposition.
