Aston Villa will again be allowed to use the Bescot Stadium for Reserve games at times next season.

It has been confirmed that Aston Villa reserves will be allowed to to trample all over the newly laid Bescot playing surface between November and February of the new season.

The deal with Aston Villa was rekindled last season. It is does bring money in to the club, but how many other Division 1 clubs offer their neighbors their playing surface for reserve games?

Reserve games for both sides were eventually moved last season following the problems, and come November - December next season we can only hope we do not have the same problems.

It is unfortunate that the Saddlers have to allow Villa to use their facilities, but maybe Doug Ellis could put his hand in his pocket and make a contribution to the £120,000 that the Saddlers are spending on a new pitch.
