Play Off hopefuls Notts Forest have admitted they are interested in signing Walsall target Paul Merson.

Notts Forest Boss Paul Hart has told BBC Sport...

"Paul Merson is obviously a player who would interest us. He's got a great talent, but I wouldn't have thought that's going to happen. It looks as though he's going to leave Portsmouth and he's a terrific player. I think it's fair to say there is an interest there but it's probably not feasible."

Read what you will in to these comments. Either way, they are local, interested and willing to pay Merson considerably more than we can.

Lets hope Hart is being truthful when he says his interest is a bit to late.
