Danny Sonner is on trial at Nottingham Forest. Sonner had a tough time at the Bescot, can he make an impact with the Play-Off failures?

Danny Sonner has joined Notts Forests on trial. The move is surprising considering that Colin Lee didn't feel he could do a job for the Saddlers in the First Division.

After spells with The Owls and Blues, it appeared that Danny Sonner was working his way down the football ladder, and when released by Colin Lee a move to another club in the First Division seemed to be unlikely. It is a well known fact that Stoke City showed an interest in him while he was at Walsall, but they have failed to follow that up with any kind of offer.

It has been rumoured that Lee and Sonner parted on bad terms after an alleged changing room disagreement after the FA Cup game at Sheffield United.

A chance to impress at Notts Forest is one Sonner will be keen to take. Forest are sure to be challenging for a top 6 spot, and Paul Hart obviously feels Sonner could do a job for his side.  These are strange times for Football. Forest take our rejects. We beat the former European Cup Winners to the signing of Paul Merson. It's a funny old game.
